Dopo Family ecco Relief. Quando al minuto 2.03 cantano Sentimental Waste e quasi subito 
entrano le chitarre. tutto molto semplice.

Strand of Oaks - "JM" dedicato a Jason Molina

Timothy Shoewalter Jason Molina L'album Heal  degli Strand of Oaks è appena  uscito e ne ho scritto in un post precedente  Post Blog: Strand of Oaks - Heal (My Favorite Album 2014) Ora finalmente, in streaming audio su youtube, si trova la canzone che Timothy Shoewalter ha dedicato a Jason Molina , JM  Grandissimo pezzo. Quando al minuto quattro e quarantasette entrano con un urlo le chitarre è vera apoteosi.  E' come risentire i Magnolia Electric Co, i Song: Ohia o i Crazy Horse dei tempi migliori. Gli Strand of Oaks sono in tour. In Italia tre date ad ottobre: il 17 a Carpi, il 18 a Ravenna e il 20 a Milano. Altra trasferta obbligatoria. War On Drugs - Lost In The Dream (My Favorite Album 2014)

Questa volta la critica è unanime nel promuovere questo lavoro di Adam Granduciel con i suoi   War On Drugs , tra i migliori dischi dell'anno.   Kurt Vile -  questo il suo ultimo ottimo album   -  se ne era andato dal gruppo dopo il primo disco, ed era difficile aspettarsi grandi cose. E invece, prima  Slave Ambient  ed ora questo bellissimo Lost In The Dream 'Giusto per non reinventare nulla' ha detto Adam Granduciel ed è proprio così. In questo album c'è, in piccolo, la storia del folk-rock, senza per questo copiare nulla, con in più l'uso di synth, che danno un'impronta 'nuova' e 'originale'.  C'è chi cita Dylan, chi Tom Petty, nel brano Eyes To The Wind ho risentito i miei amatissimi   Waterboys . Grande album, compagno di viaggio. Adam Granduciel
